This talk has an emphasis on outreach and what it meant for the early Christians and what it means for ourselves as we journey on as a Christ centered community of believers. I think for all of us who have heard Raymond's talks we discover so much of both the Word and also how it is relevant for our own lives and where we are today. I found, listening to this talk, a real prophetic edge particularly in relation to ecumenism... here is so much in this talk – Here are just a couple of extracts that struck me as I listened to it earlier today. Also though obviously recorded some years ago, the quality of the original recording is excellent-great news all round! ' There is no blueprint for the Christian mission..' ' The Christian mission had started not because someone had planned it but because the Christian community was pushed into it by persecution...' Ecumenically one of the most happiest things that happened...The throwing together of Christian groups and clergy from different denominations during the second world war ...suddenly encountering for the first time each other.....and it was much more difficult to look people in the eyes and see how they believed and tell them they weren’t Christian'
