Fr Raymond presents a series of TV episodes examining the Passion and Death of Jesus across the four Gospels, based on his work The Death of the Messiah. Each episode compares Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John’s accounts, relating them to contemporary relevance. The included 2 MP3s and DVD feature four talks—one for each Gospel—and offer reflections on Good Friday as a symbol of hope and triumph. For many listeners, these episodes resonate on a deeply personal level, offering not just historical insight but also encouragement and inspiration during times of hardship. By exploring the unique perspectives of each Gospel, Fr Raymond prompts us to reflect on our own journeys and challenges, drawing strength from the themes of sacrifice, resilience, and hope found in the story of Good Friday. This thoughtful approach invites individuals to find personal meaning and comfort through faith and reflection.   Fr Raymond takes a deep and wonderful look at the four Gospel accounts of the Passion and Death of Jesus. The content here is not just a straight repeat of the Passion Narrative CD set. Both complement each other and are prepared and presented in their own particular way and for their audience -This one was done for television in four brilliantly presented episodes. Working through each account of our Lord’s trial suffering crucifixion death and burial, Raymond explains clearly the similarities and differences of each account and what it means for us today. Filmed in 1995 this professional recording is a precious opportunity to hear in 103 minutes one of the best summaries of the Passion accounts ever given. The DVD is presented as four talks; The Passion according to Mark; The Passion according to Matthew; The Passion according to Luke; The Passion according to John. Raymond begins this teaching by saying that for this video he has adapted his massive work on the Passion (The Death of the Messiah) to meet our needs to understand the passion accounts and to find meaning for our own lives. This blessed teaching will certainly do just that! AN EXTRACT FROM THE PASSION OF JOHN (Talk 4) “This is the Jesus who makes Good Friday good. Where the Cross becomes the triumph and all the powers of the world reigned against Him are nothing because he is God’s own Son and has more Power than all the world’s powers put together. It is a death that gave hope to the martyrs because their faith could conquer the world” This is a SAMPLE of the talk above:
